"I don't know when my love affair
with clothing started..."
 When I was growing up, I dreamed
about one day becoming a lawyer...
Instead, I went to University,
studied business and ended up
working in the medical sales field
for 10+ years. It wasn't until
I became pregnant and couldn't find
any clothes to wear that I even
considered owning my own business -
but I feel as though it was
something that I was meant to do.
I was born and raised in Edmonton
and I am proud to now be raising my
family here as well. I got
married here in 2005, and in 2006 we
welcomed our 1st child, a little
boy, into our family. Although
it was my pregnancy that made me
recognize the need for a maternity
store like Bump Maternity in
Edmonton, it was something else that
made me take the chance and open my
own business.
In January 2004, I lost one of my
sisters to cancer - and
unfortunately it was that event that
made me realize how precious life is
- and that I need to really "live"
it. Things that I once thought
were important, didn't seem as
important anymore and I knew I
needed to find something I "wanted"
to do every day - something I was
passionate about.
When my pregnancy came along, I
enjoyed everything about it - except
the clothing. That's when I
finally discovered what I wanted to
do - I would open a designer
maternity store. It had
everything I truly loved - fashion,
pregnancy, and being my own boss.
Bump Maternity was born...
Bump Maternity is about celebrating
your pregnancy in style - and being
able to enjoy every minute of it.
